Congratulations to the winners of the national STEM Challenge!

The challenge is a school learning collaboration between the Royal Australian Navy and STEM Hub to increase student participation in STEM through fun, relevant, and hands-on challenges. The Challenge aimed to encourage young minds to think like engineers and scientists by engaging them in STEM skills, inspiring innovation, self-confidence,communication, and teamwork.

Students from 150 registered schools analysed different nuclear-powered submarine propulsion systems. The winners enjoyed a 2-day immersive experience at HMAS Stirling which included a behind-the-scenes look at engineering workshops, dining with submariners and touring an Australian Collins class submarine and frigate.
