How it works

Register your school to receive the Challenge guidelines, marking rubric, and workbook.

Create teams comprising a maximum of 5 students. Secondary school teams have the option to participate in two divisions: Junior Division (Grades 7-9) and Senior Division (Grades 10-12). Schools are welcome to enter multiple teams in both divisions. Primary schools do not have any divisions.

Design and build a model hydrogen fuelled autonomous vehicle using any materials (eg. balsawood, Lego    , 3D printing, etc).

Create a presentation addressing specific requirements highlighting the model.

Upload your team presentations for judging. See how here

Nine teams (3 Primary Schools and 6 Secondary Schools) from each State and Territory will be selected to present via Webex. VIC teams will be required to present on stage at the 2024 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix.
