STEM Hub’s Annual F1 STEM Challenge is Nearly Here!🏁
We’re gearing up to launch our next F1 STEM Challenge, set to run through 2025 with finalists presenting live on stage at the 2026 Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix.
This year’s theme is still under wraps, but we can give you a clue: it’s all about innovation and sustainability in motorsport. Students in Grades 4–12 will have the chance to tackle real-world STEM problems and showcase their ideas on one of the world’s biggest stages.

Launch Timing
We’re excited to confirm that the Challenge will go live during the week commencing 6 October 2025, with an anticipated public launch by Friday, 10 October 2025.

STEM Hub’s Annual F1 STEM Challenge is Now OPEN!🏁
We’re thrilled to announce that STEM Hub’s annual F1 STEM Challenge - the Green Grid Challenge - is officially open for 2025–26!
Students in Grades 4–12 are invited to design the Net Zero Race Car or Pit Stop of the Future, tackling real-world sustainability challenges in motorsport. VIC finalists will present live on stage at the 2026 Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix.
