Fuelling the Future
CHALLENGE
The Fuelling the Future Challenge, a partnership between STEM Hub and the Australian Grand Prix, engages primary and secondary school students in practical STEM activities. Students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific inquiry skills by investigating hydrogen power, designing vehicles, and communicating their findings. They explore the interplay between form and function, energy transfer, and systems thinking, connecting scientific concepts to real-world applications. The challenge aligns with the Australian Curriculum, ensuring students meet key educational standards.

Who Can Participate?
Students across Australia in Years 4 to 12 are invited to take part in the Fuelling the Future Challenge. Team up in small groups for a chance to win exciting prizes!
For Teachers:
Register to access all the challenge resources. You'll receive everything you need to guide your students through the challenge.
For Students:
Form a team of up to 5 classmates and ask your teacher to register and download the resources for you.
For Homeschoolers:
Homeschool groups are welcome to participate! Simply complete the registration form to access all the resources you need.
Key Dates:
Challenge Start Date: 20 September 2024
Submission Deadline: 21 February 2025 (5PM AWST)
Finalists Announced (VIC Only):
Schools will be notified by 7 March 2025 (5PM AEST). Finalists will present on stage at the F1® Australian Grand Prix on 13 March 2025.
Winners Announced:
Other States and Territories: There is no requirement to present at the F1® Australian Grand Prix. All schools will be notified by 31 March 2025 of their success.
